Our Vision: Value-Driven

St. Michael’s Primary school is a caring, learning community where every child is valued and respected in a safe, inclusive environment that nurtures talents and celebrates the success and achievements of all. We work hard to ensure that our children will become valued contributors to society, in whatever path they follow.

Our 'vision statement' was formed in the academic year 2024/25. Our vision, values and mission statement include our pupil voice and emphasis our child centered ethos, and the resulting SDP is built upon this. These values shape our vision and guide our decision-making processes.

We, the Governors and staff of St. Michael’s Primary School, believe the school to be a vital part of our Parish community. We are firmly committed to ensuring that all of our pupils:

• Develop themselves spiritually as part of our Catholic community.
• Enjoy their time at school in an environment where they can have fun with their friends, learn in interesting and stimulating ways, and develop a positive sense of self-esteem, all of which enables them to achieve their full potential in all areas of the curriculum.
• Experience a culture of inclusivity where all are recognised, welcomed, respected and nurtured.
• Benefit from appropriate positive pastoral care systems in our school.
• Benefit from all members of the wider school community developing themselves effectively to enable them to fulfil their role within the school.
• Benefit from close links between our homes, our parish and the wider community, at a local, regional and global level.
