Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Zelda from the Livestock & Meat Commission (LMC) of Northern Ireland into the P4/5 classroom.
Zelda educated the boys and girls about farm quality assured meat and the important role that local farming has on our food industry. We also discussed the importance of a healthy balanced diet.
After our talk, we were treated to a wonderful culinary delight when Zelda cooked us her Chilli Beef Pasta dish! The children all got to taste-test the delicious cooking and it is safe to say they all thoroughly enjoyed the food as they all had seconds!
Zelda very kindly gave all pupils a recipe book so they can try out more new fun recipes at home with their parents! Zelda was so impressed with the boys and girls engagement and their super manners! Thank you Zelda for a wonderfully demonstrated cookery session!
